This paper deals with the many levels and interdependent factors which determine the work relationship in the domestic waste sector. Public policies, legal and technological change, strategy of firms and the present state of labor market help to explain firms behaviors. These behaviors are developed in a same context of objectives and constraints but there is a large place for differences in their implementation. The analysis relies on a qualitative survey made on private firms in the domestic waste sector.
