Human resources management policies and tools structure research and development activities. They strongly influence researchers trajectories in organizations. We study the case of a telecommunication firm and show how human resources management policies and tools can structure its research and development activities, if they are appropriated, and do not stay “dogmatic inventions”, which is a risk in this R&D sector. We study the role of actors or objects in this appropriation.
