To understand that « a worker is variable » : age, schedules and work activity on a quality control workstation

This article deals with the variability of individuals in their working activity : variability linked to circadian fluctuations (depending on hours), and age-related processes (deficiencies on the one hand, building up experience on the other hand). Scientific results, out of physiological and psychological research, are synthetized here, and provide a framework for a case study, focusing on a quality control workstation in the steel industry.
