The new public policies in favor of the development of the domestic services sector are increasingly based on the creation of private companies. For the government, these companies should support a professionalization of the sector. The term of professionalization can however have two very different meanings. It could be intended to the customers of these services or to the workers. We would like to show in this article that the workers’ professionalization runs up against very great difficulties in a competing and low skill sector.
