The purpose of this paper is to analyze the professional transition of union activists having played a leading role in managing a conflict linked to a restructuring project entailing job losses and having lost their jobs. How do union activists face involuntary professional transition? How do these adjustment tactics and the resources used articulate? After formulating the theoretical framework in the first part, we will then offer a typology of professional transitions undergone by these union leaders, articulating bounce back management and the resources implemented.
